City has been using rap to keep positive and stay out of trouble since his early days as a kid in North York. He remains true to self by keeping his lyrics about everyday life versus gangster rap and feels a broad range of people can relate to his songs. At age 14 he began taking his art form more seriously, recording in studio and working with other artists.  Since then, he’s released a mixed tape and three music videos while remaining a solo MC in Toronto. For City, rap has been a consistent refuge and creative outlet for the past fifteen years. While building a local presence with plans to blow up and tour internationally, City relies on his family and daughter, Shiya Rose to provide regular inspiration and the drive to keep pushing his career forward.
